**About the opportunity**
As the **Student Journey and Engagement Lead**, you will play a key role in shaping an unforgettable experience for students from the Welcome program, throughout their transition and across their university journeys. You will bring energy and creativity to leading the design and implementation of programs that build connection, confidence and community, working closely with faculties, student groups and sector partners. As part of the Student Journey and Engagement leadership team, you'll support the Manager with operational management and delivery of a large scope of programs, including international support, financial support, events and activations.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work in a collaborative and cohesive team environment reporting into the Manager, Student Journey and Engagement
- lead key student life initiatives, such as major welcome and transition programs, and promotion of safety and support services, ensuring smooth planning and delivery
- manage staff who are dedicated to providing support to specific cohorts
- collaborate with faculties, student groups and central teams to deliver effective programs and referral pathways
- ensure compliance with ESOS requirements and audit readiness, including for under 18 unaccompanied international students
- drive the annual communications and events plan to enhance student engagement across the University
**About you**
- experience working in a student-facing role within the education sector
- experience in people management
- proven ability to design and deliver large-scale, engaging events and initiatives across multiple delivery models and digital platforms
- strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in a large and complex environment
- skilled in managing all aspects of event coordination, promotion, evaluation, and working with third-party providers
- proven experience working with diverse cohorts, including international students, to foster belonging and encourage help-seeking behaviour
- previous experience developing and executing engaging communications plans
- high-level organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
