National Sales & Marketing Manager
Capital Equipment | High-Value Deals | Family-Owned Business
Location: Macedon Ranges, VIC
$190K – $200K + Super + Bonus + Vehicle + Tools of Trade
This is not a desk-based leadership role.
This is a hands-on, commercially accountable role for a proven sales leader who knows how to build pipeline, win complex deals, and lead a team from the front.

The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will take full responsibility for sales and marketing performance across the business.
You will lead a multidisciplinary commercial team of 8, including:
* Business Development Managers
* Marketing
* Sales Engineer
* Internal Sales Support
This is a player-coach role. You will:
* Lead and align this team to a clear commercial strategy
* Drive new business growth
* Be directly involved in key deals
* Lift capability and performance across all functions
You are not managing from a distance. You are in the market, in conversations, and in deals.
What Success Looks Like
* Consistent achievement of revenue and margin targets
* A strong, visible pipeline with 3–5x coverage
* Growth in high-value, strategic projects
* A sales team that is active, accountable, and improving
* Marketing contributing qualified opportunities
Your Week
* Based in Macedon Ranges with time in the office for leadership, planning, and collaboration
* Minimum 2 days per week on the road working directly with your sales team (primarily Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane)
* Remaining time in the market with customers, building relationships and progressing strategic deals
This role requires regular interstate travel and a willingness to be in the field where the work happens.

Capital Equipment or High-Value Sales Experience
You understand long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and complex commercial deals.

* Lead and execute the sales and marketing strategy

* Provide accurate forecasting and reporting

* Conversion rates and deal size growth
* Field leadership and coaching activity (minimum 2 days per week)
