KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate maintenance of an inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licences
- Effective tracking of assets through their full lifecycle, from procurement through to deployment and disposal
- Ensure asset records are complete, current, and audit‐ready at all times
- Conduct regular asset audits and reconciliations to maintain data integrity
- Manage software licence renewals and new acquisitions efficiently
- Assess and approve software requests in alignment with Essential Eight guidelines
- Carry out software installations in accordance with guidelines
- Review software usage regularly to ensure licence compliance and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Provide support for both internal and external audit activities
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Maintain documentation and deliver training to new IS/IT employees
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Solid understanding of the ITIL framework, including Incident, Request, Change, Problem, and Asset Management
- Hands‐on experience with tools such as SCCM, Active Directory, and ServiceNow
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models and compliance requirements
- Well‐developed analytical and problem‐solving skills
- Strong customer focus and a service‐oriented approach to delivering outcomes
- Excellent planning and task coordination capabilities
- Strong time‐management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Practical experience in software installation and deployment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain NV1 security clearance
- Prior to employment, applicants must complete pre‐employment police checks and role‐dependent medical checks
- Applicants' nationality may be a factor in suitability due to the Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA)
- U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) may also apply
