About the Role Are you ready to help a mission-driven organisation? UnitingSA is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to deliver key financial information and reporting that supports more informed decision‑making. The Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight, partnering with leaders to drive financial performance, support decision making and deliver outcomes. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role manages a team and provides a financial business partnering service to the Executive Leadership Team, Senior Management and the organisation. The Senior Finance Business Partner - Community acts as a trusted advisor to the Community Services and Community Housing portfolios through delivery of sound financial guidance and insight that helps drive business performance and achieve organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop rapport and relationships with business units to understand priorities, initiatives, and challenges to deliver value-added solutions
Provide tailored financial analysis and advice to executive and department managers to support and influence strategic decision-making reporting including for tenders or funding acquittals
Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants
Partner across the organisation to enhance financial literacy and performance
Prepare, analyse and monitor periodic financial reporting
Identify efficiency opportunities to meet targets and maximise outcomes and impact for community service and housing clients
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Qualifications and Experience
CPA or CA qualification
Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain)
Current National Police Clearance (essential)
Experience in providing advice and solutions on a range of complex financial matters
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders
Proven ability to make independent decisions and work under limited direction, having regard to deadlines, organisational policies, guidelines and practices
Leadership experience preferred
Highly developed interpersonal, problem solving and IT skills
Knowledge of Technology One (desirable)
