Infrastructure Engineer Job Description
This role involves providing ICT support and system administration to the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all incoming ICT support requests are completed in a timely manner, while also completing administration tasks as assigned.
* Provide ICT support on a national level, escalating internally when necessary.
* Manage account creation, deletion, and user security/permissions across internal and external systems.
* Manage the fleet of mobile iPhones, iPads, and mobile services (Mobile Device Management).
* Set up new equipment.
* Work in partnership with a Systems Development team as required.
* Develop and maintain PC provisioning and support using the Standard Operating Environment.
* Review and test disaster recovery.
* Oversee software licenses and subscriptions.
* Review, evaluate, and report on new and emerging technologies.
* Manage 3rd-party vendors and resources on an as-required basis.
* Assist with ICT projects as directed by the IT Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting users on the Microsoft Suite of products, including Office 365, Windows 10, Active Directory, and Exchange, is highly desirable.
* Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
* Relevant industry qualifications.
* Previous experience supporting users on the Microsoft Suite of products, including Office 365, Windows 10, Active Directory, and Exchange.
* Hardware support experience (workstations, laptops, iPhones & iPads).
* Exposure to Windows Servers, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Hyper-V, RDS, VPN, would be beneficial.
* Customer focus and responsiveness.
* Ability to communicate clearly, actively listen to others, and respond with understanding and respect.
* Ability to effectively manage priorities and achieve deadlines.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
