Overview
Eating Disorders Day Program Consultant Psychiatrist – Barwon Health. 0.4 FTE temporary (till 30 June 2027) negotiable to suit individual professional development goals. Hours per fortnight: 16. Employment Type: Temporary Part Time.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership in the provision of high-quality psychiatric services to consumers within the Eating Disorders Day Program (EDDP).
* Act as a delegate of the authorised Psychiatrist as defined in the Mental Health Act 2022 and contribute to the service Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Program.
* Conduct psychiatric assessments and ongoing reviews for consumers across the lifespan within the program.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including medical staff, mental health clinicians, dietitian, occupational therapist, lived experience workforce, and exercise physiologist to deliver best-practice care.
Qualifications
* Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
* Accredited supervisor by the RANZCP.
* General or specialist medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
