About The Role
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for dedicated and skilled support workers to join our team in Nowra. As a support worker, you will provide essential assistance to participants, helping them with daily tasks and activities to build life skills and foster community connections.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting and guiding participants with household chores
* Supporting participants in accessing the community to build confidence
* Mentoring participants on appropriate behaviors and social skills
* Implementing and adhering to Positive Behaviour Support plans and restrictive practices, where necessary
* Assisting with personal care as needed
About You
We are specifically seeking female Support Workers who are available for a minimum of 2-3 afternoon or sleepover shifts per week, including weekends, due to client preferences.
You will have (or be willing to obtain):
* Experience working with disability and/or mental health participants
* Experience working with participants requiring complex care, including potential behaviors of concern
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates
* A valid Australian Driver's Licence (minimum P2)
* NDIS Worker Check
* Working with Children Check
* Police Check (National Police Certificate)
