About us:
The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit delivers education, professional practice development, and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff. These services support the achievement of best practice standards and high-quality health service delivery.
Led by the Nursing Director of Education and Research, the unit includes Nurse Educators, Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Facilitators, the Transfusion Nurse, and Librarians. Nurse Educators in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care, and Mental Health also maintain strong professional links with the unit, supporting collaboration and consistency across services.
About the role:
As a Clinical Facilitator, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting and guiding novice nurses and Graduate Registered Nurses as they begin their journey. You'll be the friendly face, trusted mentor, and experienced clinician they turn to for encouragement, practical teaching, and support in the clinical environment.
Not only do you get the be the go-to knowledge bank, you'll also help create a positive learning culture by working side-by-side with nurses, sharing your knowledge, and modelling confident, evidence-based practice. You'll collaborate closely with clinical teams, helping to build capability, confidence, and safe, high-quality care across services.

About you:
As the successful applicant, you will hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent). A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable. A relevant postgraduate qualification with a clinical education component is required; however, applicants who do not yet hold this qualification must be willing to complete it within an agreed timeframe as part of their professional development.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $69,626 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution17.5% leave loading
