Ace Hotel Sydney is our first-ever spot in Australia, inhabiting an historic building set in the verve of Surry Hills. Inspired by the neighborhood's vibrant rhythm, Ace Sydney is home to a bustling public Lobby alive nearly nightly with DJs and performers, a rebellious art program and sunken lounge just off the Lobby bar. We've also got three distinct restaurants led by award-winning culinary pros. Now all we need is you.
Responsibilities
* As the Event Sales Manager, drive sourcing, development, and seamless execution of events and meetings across the hotel.
* Cultivate strong client relationships to ensure we remain their first choice for future events through timely follow-ups, expert negotiation, and tailored proposals that elevate the client experience.
* Monitor sales performance and event outcomes; proactively identify new business opportunities and industry trends to grow the hotel's reputation.
* Translate concepts into reality by creating detailed event orders, attending weekly event order meetings, and collaborating with culinary, reservations, AV, and event operations teams to guarantee flawless execution.
About you
* At least three years of experience in an event sales role
* Passionate about creating memorable event experiences
* Superb time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing successful events
* Technologically savvy with Google Workspace and expert in event management software
* Previously worked in 5 Star Hotels or a premium hospitality environment is highly desirable
