Nelson Built is a residential building company specialising in architectural new homes, extensions and renovations across Adelaide.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an organised and proactive Construction Administrator to support our office and onsite teams.
The Construction Administrator plays a key role in supporting the smooth delivery of all Nelson Built residential projects. You will work closely with the Director, Admin staff, Onsite trades and clients to keep documentation, schedules, and communication running efficiently. This role suits someone who enjoys multitasking and wants to be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Project Administration
* Prepare, issue, and manage construction documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, variations, and WHS documentation.
* Maintain up-to-date project files, folders, and digital systems.
* Assist with building approvals, council submissions, and compliance documents.
* Work closely with site supervisors and project managers to ensure schedules and documentation are current.
Scheduling & Coordination
* Assist with construction scheduling and trade coordination.
* Track progress, materials deliveries, and project milestones.
* Communicate updates to internal teams, clients, and contractors.
* Arrange site meetings and prepare minutes as required.
Client & Supplier Communication
* Act as a point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and meeting coordination.
* Liaise with suppliers regarding quotes, orders, deliveries, and pricing.
* Support client selections and maintain selection schedules.
Financial & Reporting Support
* Create and manage purchase orders, invoices, and cost tracking.
* Support budget monitoring and variation processing.
* Assist with monthly reporting for project progress.
General Administration
* Maintain office systems, emails, and calendars.
* Provide general administration assistance to management and the construction team.
* Support the development and improvement of internal processes.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Competent with construction software (e.g., Buildertrend, Buildxact, Procore, SimPRO) or willing to learn.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
* Knowledge of the Australian construction industry, building processes, and terminology.
* Previous experience in residential construction administration or a similar industry role.
