Family Lawyer (Senior Associate/Special Counsel)

Our client is a highly regarded specialist Family law firm seeking a passionate Family Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years post‐admission Australian family law experience. Based in South East Suburbs, you will assist clients requiring advice on all aspects of family law, enjoy a good level of autonomy within a collaborative team culture, and contribute to a close‐knit practice that provides practical solutions for valued clients.
What you will do
Assist clients requiring advice on all aspects of family law; manage family law matters independently and as part of a collaborative team; offer support to other professionals within the firm; and mentor less experienced practitioners.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Experience with proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, court appearances, and instructing counsel
* Broad experience in complex parenting and financial/property matters, maintenance applications, divorce and Intervention Orders
* Precise legal drafting
* Commercial and resolution focused mindset
* Willingness and passion for mentoring less experienced practitioners
* Competence with cloud‐based practice management software (e.g. Smokeball or similar)
* Attention to detail and management of deadlines
* Interest in networking with allied professionals
Qualifications
* Post‐graduate qualifications in the following will be highly regarded:
o LIV Specialist Accreditation in Family Law
o Master of Laws (Family Law)
* Minimum of 5 years of post‐admission Australian family law experience
