Job Description
This role involves providing daily living support to customers with varying levels of disability, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall well-being. You will work closely with customers, their families, and carers to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored support plans.
As a Disability Support Key Worker, you will be responsible for providing support in various aspects of life, including personal care, domestic assistance, and community access. You will also assist customers in achieving their personal goals, such as education, employment, and social participation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A Certificate IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Community Service or related field;
* Proven experience in supporting individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers, families, and colleagues;
* Ability to problem-solve, work autonomously, and collaborate with a range of health professionals; and
* Basic computer literacy and competency using software applications relevant to the role.
