About the Opportunity
The Social Worker – Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) provides strength based, trauma informed and culturally sensitive interventions across specialised clinical streams. This role offers a structured development pathway and strong foundations in child protection, sexual assault and domestic violence practice. In this role you will:
* Participate in the VAN development pathway and work across CPCS and SAS clinical streams to build specialist capability.
* Deliver psychosocial assessment, casework and therapeutic interventions aligned with PARVAN Framework and evidence-based practice.
* Collaborate with Clinical Leads and multidisciplinary teams to develop counselling, treatment and intervention plans.
* Facilitate safety, stabilisation, healing and recovery for clients experiencing violence, abuse and neglect.
* Engage in professional supervision, networks and on call roster participation following completion of orientation and training.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* A Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Foundational experience in psychosocial assessment within the context of violence, abuse and neglect.
* Sound knowledge of trauma impacts, systemic issues and culturally safe, evidence-based interventions.
* Strong communication, conflict resolution and time management skills in complex clinical environments.
* A demonstrated commitment to professional development, reflective practice and NSW Health CORE values.
