Overview
Based in Stonyfell, we are looking for a responsible and driven individual to join our team as a Concrete Laboratory Technician. This role reports to the Lab Manager and involves sampling, testing, training, supervising, maintenance of records, and reporting results for our concrete and quarry related products.
What you’ll do
- Conduct sampling of concrete samples onsite
- Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals
- Calibrate laboratory equipment as required
- Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operations
- Follow Inspection and Test Plans to carry out production and compliance testing
- Maintenance of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements
What we’re looking for
- Experience as a concrete field tester is desirable
- Experience within a construction-based trade is desirable
- A commitment to safety and quality
- In-depth knowledge of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data (especially with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc)
- Good time management and organisational skills
- An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
- Knowledge or experience in Aggregates testing is an advantage
- Current driver’s license; tool of trade vehicle provided
