Senior Electrical Estimator role at Design & Build Recruitment. Based in Sydney, Current South Wales. Leading electrical contractor delivering high-value projects across commercial, data centres, and mission-critical facilities. Tendors upwards of $60m. This is a senior role focusing on preparing competitive and accurate tenders.
What you’ll do
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale electrical and communications projects.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and assess technical compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with design and delivery requirements.
- Contribute to tender submissions, value engineering options, and bid presentations.
About you
- Proven experience in electrical estimating within the Australian commercial construction sector.
- Ideally, have an electrical trade background.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industry standards, and construction methodologies.
- Software experience: Bluebeam, SIMPRO, Navisworks/Revizto, Microsoft Project.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
