The role
Seeking experienced Schedulers / Project Planners who have worked within complex environments using P6, Power BI and understand Earned Value Management. Minimum 3 years' scheduling and project planning or controls experience, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries.
About the Opportunity
We have a prospect available for experienced and passionate individuals to join our Program Management Office as a Project Scheduler to support our Program. The role reports to the Principal Scheduler and involves providing technical support and advice to project managers in scheduling to support successful execution of the Program. This permanent full‐time position is based in Osborne, SA.
Responsibilities
- Review, plan and schedule whole submarine maintenance activities.
- Understand and document the sequence of works, relationships, durations and resource requirements.
- Develop project schedules, including identification and verification of the critical path.
- Monitor and control all activities through the planning and execution of activities.
- Update activity information and status based on information from various sources.
- Re‐schedule activities in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate trends to the Project Manager and Project Team.
- Perform detailed schedule analysis for relevant stakeholders.
About You
- Minimum 3 years' demonstrated scheduling and project planning or controls experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries.
- Demonstrated experience in scheduling using Primavera (or similar scheduling software).
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user and ability to work and thrive in a complex data environment.
- Understanding of Earned Value Management within a Program / Project environment.
- Proficiency in Power BI is highly desirable.
- Ability to self‐motivate while collaborating with various internal stakeholders.
- Proven analytical problem‐solving skills relating to costs and scheduling performance and reporting.
Eligibility
