Job Title: Care Specialist
The role of a Care Specialist is to provide care to elderly residents in a way that promotes independence and maintains their individuality and dignity.
Care Specialists work with other carers and nursing staff to deliver quality care plans for all residents under their care.
They are responsible for providing assistance with daily activities such as showering, eating, cleaning, and social interaction.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy environment is also a key aspect of this role, including compliance with infection control and other safe work practices.
Care Specialists work on a rotating roster over 14 days as per contract hours, which will be negotiated with the individual.
Duties:
* Provide personal care to elderly residents according to their care plans
* Ensure a safe, clean, and tidy environment at all times
* Monitor and report any changes in resident health or behavior
* Collaborate with medical professionals and nursing staff
* Engage in social interaction with residents
Requirements:
* Equivalent qualification in Aged Care or Individual Support (e.g., Certificate III)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to work effectively in a team and autonomously
* Previous experience in aged care is highly regarded
