Employment Types: Full Time, Part Time, Sessional and Casual, with the possibility of extension(s).
Appointments from this pool may be made until 30/07/2027.
Consultant Year 1 – 9: $397,264 - $504,517 per annum*
The above salary is as per WA Health System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2024 (inclusive of base salary, 12% superannuation, and PD allowance).
This is subject to the assessment of qualifications, clinical skills and years of practice.

About The Role And Health Campus.
We are expanding our team at Geraldton Health Campus Emergency Department, which provides comprehensive emergency services to Geraldton and other communities in the region.
As the Regional Resource Centre for the Midwest, we also support outlying nursing posts and small hospitals via emergency telehealth.
Our blended medical model includes FACEMs, Senior Medical Practitioners, Registrars and Residents, with dedicated non-clinical time for teaching.
We support GP trainees along with ACEM and CICM trainees.
Senior doctors have dedicated non-clinical time to contribute to safe, high quality care and to enhance the patient experience.
Leadership and management training are promoted, and resources for education and supervision are well supported.
Geraldton's Emergency Department has a collegial, upbeat culture and is an enjoyable place to work.
The hospital inpatient units are staffed by general specialists across medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, psychiatry and O&G, with an anaesthetic department supported by registrars, residents and interns.
We have 24-hour laboratory service, radiology including CT on site, with some limited access to off-site MRI, and a full range of allied health staff and outpatient services.
We are undergoing an exciting redevelopment.
When completed, the Geraldton Health Campus will feature an expanded, state-of-the-art Emergency Department, a new ICU and High Dependency Unit, and integrated mental health services with an adult inpatient unit and short stay unit.
Planning is underway to establish a radiation oncology service with a LINAC as part of this redevelopment to deliver world-class, safe, and sustainable care for our Midwest communities into the future.
The Successful Candidates Will
Be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Have Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent.
Have substantial postgraduate medical experience in emergency medicine and hospital practice.
