Job Description
The Third Party Risk Manager plays a critical role in ensuring TAL’s readiness and resilience to operational risks and disruptions relating to Third Parties. This includes both ensuring effective implementation of the requirements for Third Parties to TAL, as well as ensuring TAL is able to meet the requirements of our Group Superannuation Partners who will we be a Material Service Provider to.
The focus will be on understanding the requirements of the new Third Party Risk Management Policy, contributing to the uplift of the broader Third Party Risk Management Procedure and working closely with teams to implement and embed changes to the Third Party landscape – both on behalf of TAL and as the changes relate to TAL as a provider.
In this role, you will:
* Support delivery and embedment of the Third Party Risk Management Policy requirements. In particular, this will involve providing SME support to L1 as the Policy requirements are embedded to existing and new Third Parties.
* Provide review and challenge over Risk Assessments completed, and monitoring adherence to in life monitoring and offboarding requirements.
* Oversee compliance with the Policy for Material Service Providers and supporting submission of the Material Service Provider Register on an annual basis.
* Oversee maintenance and accuracy of the Third Party Register.
* Support the Group Partnerships Team where necessary to provide annual CPS230 assurance reporting where TAL is a Material Service Provider.
* Collaborate with various business units to implement and embed the specific requirements of the new Third Party Risk Management Policy and Procedure as the L2 SME.
* Work closely and maintain effective communication with a wide range of internal stakeholders including Line 1, Procurement, IT and Legal teams. External stakeholders will also include a broad range of Service Providers, Group Superannuation Partners and other Business Partners
Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk preferably in the Insurance industry. A focus on Third Party Risk management is preferred but not mandatory.
* Experience working across multiple business units in a large and complex organisation
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Working with stakeholders of all levels of seniority
* Excellent relationship development, management and negotiation skills
* Excellent organisation skills and ability to deal with and meet constant and short deadlines
