Centre Cook Job Opportunity
The Centre Cook will be responsible for planning and preparing a nutritious rotating menu for all children at the centre. The role involves ensuring that food prepared is in line with specific dietary requirements and culturally appropriate to the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Nutrition, Food Handling and Hygiene
o Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children ensuring dietary and cultural requirements are catered for.
o Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Administration
o Plan, reflect, and modify menus as required ensuring seasonal changes.
o Order food supplies and manage stock levels to meet the needs of the centre.
* Organisational Skills
o Ensure meal organisation, preparation, and delivery are within expected time frames to meet children's needs.
o Use advanced organisational skills to complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
* Compliance and Child Safety
o Implement policies and procedures in relation to health and safety.
o Ensure individual dietary requirements are met for all children at the centre and work actively with management to support specific needs.
