About the Role
Based in Seymour 3660 - work across Victoria and interstate.
Our labourers are expected to carry out the installation of security fencing. This involves manual labour, machine use & use of powered hand tools (grinders, drills etc). Applicants should be capable of measuring with a tape measure and cutting with a grinder confidently. Welding experience would also be an advantage. Ideal applicants will be able to think on their feet to solve practical problems arising in site day-to-day activities.
Our sites are based all over Victoria, so working away from home is required from time to time. All travel is in company vehicles and you are paid from leaving the yard in the morning, until returning in the evening. In working away from home situations, accommodation is supplied and meals reimbursed.
Rates are negotiable, based on experience.
Generally, our staff work around 45 hours per week.
Skills and Experience
Prospective candidates will require:
Essential Qualifications
* Aged 18+
* Drivers License (MR an advantage)
* OH&S White/Red Card
* Desirable but not essential are RIW qualifications (TTSA Level 1), ESI Worker training (Entry to HV etc), First Aid training, machine operating tickets (excavator, skidsteer, telehandler, scissor lift, boom lift)
* A knowledge of hand tools and their safe operation, including power tools such as angle grinders and drill
* Practical thinking
* Punctual attendance
* Relevant experience in fencing, landscaping or construction role. Machine operating experience also an advantage.
