Stage School Australia is looking for both emerging and experienced Dance Teachers to join its team across Melbourne, particularly in the western suburbs. We are currently seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic applicants to take on Dance teaching shifts. Join our team of specialists in delivering high-energy, fun, repertoire-based group classes.
Stage School Australia is one of Australia's largest performing arts organisations, specialising in providing training for young people aged 4 to 18 years. With 40 years of legacy, 30 venues across Melbourne and Brisbane, over 6,000 students, and a faculty of 200+, Stage School Australia is the industry leader in its field.
We hire singing teachers/musical directors, dance directors and drama directors to work with our students, in structured training programmes. Curriculum and repertoire is provided. Rehearsals are conducted during Government School terms and outside school hours. Classes are generally run between 4.00pm and 9.30pm weeknights and 9.00am to 5.00pm Saturday at various locations around Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver high-energy, fun, repertoire-based group classes for students aged 4 to 18 years.
 * Collaborate with other specialists in the performing arts team to support curriculum goals.
 * Participate in rehearsals and teaching sessions during Government School terms and outside school hours.
Qualifications
 * Tertiary voice/singing/drama/dance training, or equivalent professional experience (e.g., significant other voice/instrumental training, performance experience).
 * Confident and proficient piano skills to teach and accompany students in rehearsals (voice/singing teachers only).
 * Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
 * Teaching experience, or natural aptitude; good rapport with children and young people.
 * A current Working With Children Check.
