Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator - LauncestonKey co-working Infection Prevention and Control role within a small Quality and Risk Management team.Permanent, part time, 0.6 FTE.Excellent salary packaging options available.About The RoleThe Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator will be responsible for providing operational leadership and management within Calvary St Vincent's and St Luke's campuses, to ensure high standards of infection prevention and control practices, positive patient outcomes, and a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.Duties may include project assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on IPC risks and outcomes, while maintaining relevant accreditation standards related to infection prevention and control.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, evaluate, and report on key IPC activities to meet local, state, and national protocols and guidelines.Undertake surveillance, investigations, and audits, including regular reporting and feedback to staff.Provide collaborative leadership and expert advice regarding organisational IPC risks, including outbreak and contact tracing events.What you bringRegistered Nurse with post-graduation experience.Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds a Bachelor of Nursing Degree.Demonstrated knowledge of HICMR, ACHS, quality improvement, and risk management.Person-centred approach to supporting staff and patients in communicating IPC risks and system features.Highly developed communication skills (verbal, written, IT), problem-solving, and conflict resolution.Leadership skills, ability to work as part of a team, work effectively under pressure, and prioritize workload.For more information, please contact Sandra Roodt, National Manager Infection Prevention & Control, via email at ****** work for Calvary?Joining us offers opportunities to learn with purpose and make a positive impact on our community in a stimulating work environment.
