About Jumbunna

Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research (Jumbunna) at UTS assists the University to contribute effectively to Australia's educational and social development by making UTS staff and students aware of Indigenous Australian cultures and associated issues. About the role

The proactive and experienced Executive Assistant will support the senior leadership team including the Director, Distinguished Professor and Industry Professor Treaty and TruthTelling, and will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of Jumbunna Institute - Research.

About You

As the Executive Assistant, you will:

* Provide high-level executive support to the senior leadership team, ensuring the delivery of professional, confidential, and efficient services across a broad range of administrative functions.
* Co-ordinate activities on behalf of the leadership team, including diary and email management, preparation of internal and external communications, anticipating needs, and ensuring timely and accurate support.
* Prepare high-quality documents, spreadsheets, and briefing materials; manage travel arrangements and itineraries; and oversee visiting delegations.
* Organise all aspects of meetings for the leadership teams and committees, including scheduling, venue coordination, agenda preparation, distribution of papers, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.

With examples from your previous work experience, please provide, in a separate document, a statement (maximum one page) addressing the following:

* Your interest in working with the Institute/Unit and in Executive Assistant opportunities.
* How your skills and experience align with the core capabilities of the role, including organisation and attention to detail, communication, time management, stakeholder engagement, and managing competing priorities.
* Your experience supporting senior leaders or teams in a high-volume or complex work environment.
* An example demonstrating how you have improved or streamlined an administrative or operational process.
* How you contribute positively to team culture and foster inclusive and professional working environments.

Base Salary Range: $83,906 pa (HEW 5.1)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
