About the role
The position provides strong leadership to security personnel, fostering a culture of quality and professionalism while maintaining awareness of contemporary industry practices, including Accreditation requirements, National Standards, and emerging technologies to support best-practice outcomes. Working collaboratively with clinical teams and broader hospital services, the role contributes to safe operations and positive patient experiences. The position also holds financial and human resource delegations aligned with organisational governance frameworks and the responsibilities of the role.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
* Ensure comprehensive security services and assistance are provided to patients, visitors, staff and contractors whilst at the same time protecting the physical assets of the MNHHS.
* Ensure rostering and payroll is managed in accordance with best practice and relevant award/s.
* Ensure security provide a first response presence to all emergency situations.
* Ensure security provides personal protection to staff confronting aggressive and volatile situations in the provision of front-line health services.
* Prioritise tasks and ensure requests for security and/or emergency assistance are in accordance with Queensland Health, Service and Facility guidelines, policies, and procedures.
