* Residential & Commercial Drafting — Accurate documentation for sheds, homes, townhouses and mid-scale commercial buildings.
* Structural & Concrete Design — Steel and concrete detailing, plate connections and structurally focused documentation prepared for engineering review.
* Mining Infrastructure — Technical drafting for mining infrastructure, equipment layouts, access roads, mine services and process facility documentation.
* Agricultural Systems — Practical drafting solutions for sheds, barns, mechanical equipment layouts and regional agricultural infrastructure.
* As-Builts & Redline Markups — Clear, accurate as-built drawings and redline markups reflecting completed or modified works.
Applicants must demonstrate experience across residential drafting, commercial drafting, structural detailing, mining infrastructure, fire safety drafting, and agricultural systems to meet our diverse project requirements.
The work model
We are currently seeking AutoCAD designers operating under an ABN to support our growing workload.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 2-5 years of AutoCAD experience to handle our project requirements effectively.
An ABN can be obtained before commencing work for this contractor role.
Applicants must hold valid Australian work rights or an appropriate work visa to be eligible for this position.
This is a project-based contractor role. Work is assigned as projects come online, based on suitability, availability and demonstrated output.
Project turnaround timeframes are typically expected within 1-6 weeks of assignment.
At this stage, this role is best suited as supplementary income. As Structhaven continues to grow, designers already in the system will be prioritised for increased and more consistent workloads.
If workload reaches a level where this can help someone move away from a traditional 9–5 or FIFO lifestyle, that is a positive outcome — but we are not selling a dream to attract applicants.
