This position involves assisting with the delivery of meals to patients, preparing salads and sandwiches, maintaining food storage areas, and ensuring that all kitchen operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
You will be responsible for washing dishes, operating kitchen equipment, and working effectively in a fast-paced team environment. To be successful in this role, you should have a high level of flexibility, being able to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Your ability to work well under pressure and maintain a clean and safe working environment is also essential.
* We prefer candidates with previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting.
* Able to work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and responding positively to instructions.
* Familiarity with food safety standards, particularly those related to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
* Will to adapt to different shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
* Eligibility to work full-time.
Duties
Support the serving of patient meals across the hospital premises
Maintain a clean and organized food storage area
Prepare salads and sandwiches for consumption by patients
Requirements
Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
