What you will do as the Senior Human Resources Advisor, Employee Relations

The Senior Human Resources Advisor, Employee Relations plays a key role in providing support and expert advice on a range of complex human resources (HR) related matters including performance and conduct, reviews of employment related action, employment entitlements and conditions, and policy review and development. The role is also responsible for fostering a high-performance culture across the AER by supporting career and professional development planning for individuals.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the AER with workplace change, including establishing the HR capability, functions and services required of the Employee Relations team post-legal separation and assisting with enterprise bargaining.
* Provide high-level advice and case management of employee relations matters, including highly sensitive and complex matters. This includes, supporting formal investigations.
* Partner with the AER Capability team and AER managers to identify and deliver on opportunities to support individual employees' professional development.
* Provide expert advice to the AER on interpreting and applying the Enterprise Agreement and HR related legislation.
* Develop managers capabilities and organisational understanding of employee relations and performance policies, practices and procedures across the organisation.
* Review, develop and maintain people policies, industrial instruments and procedures to support the Enterprise Agreement and the AER.

About You

* A demonstrated understanding and application of HR frameworks (legislation, strategies, policies, guidance, systems and practices) regarding employee relations, performance management, complex health and case management, and formal investigations/procedures.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to coach, consult, negotiate and collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, with varying knowledge levels, to facilitate positive outcomes.
* A proven ability to successfully manage workload and proactively navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities while delivering quality results within defined timeframes.
* An ability to drive governance, system and process improvement in line with legislation and best practice principles.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, human resources, AHRI accreditation and/or equivalent relevant experience.
* Recent experience within the APS setting managing performance, conduct, complex health, case management and formal investigations/procedures is highly desirable.

Salary

$102,947 - $115,384 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
