TVN On-Country is a growing indigenous owned company providing construction, project management and procurement services to commercial and government sector clients.
The company is a licensed commercial builder with federal safety accreditation and externally accredited HSEQ management systems.
TVN On-Country delivers projects in VIC, NSW, SA, ACT, TAS and QLD and we are on the lookout for a highly motivated & experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer to join our NSW/QLD team based in Port Macquarie.
The Role
Reporting to the State Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:
Sub-contractor management including preparation of scope of works & subcontracts, assessment of progress claims, variations, RFI's, shop drawings & technical data submissions, and other general administration (i.e. handover documentation) to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
Assist with the development, implementation and ongoing management of project programs, budgets and project management plans, in accordance with company and client requirements, including ongoing monitoring, control and reporting of actual performance.
Develop relationships with clients, consultant's, suppliers and subcontractors to successfully achieve project outcomes.
Assist with the management of Head Contracts, including preparation of progress claims, variations, RFI's, and other general administration to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
Assist with the preparation of tender submissions.
Assist with the implementation and ongoing oversight of project OH&S, Environmental, Quality management systems and procedures in line with client contract requirements, and company requirements.
Ensure projects are documented and delivered in line with the conditions of contract, regulatory and statutory requirements.
You will have
A minimum of 4 years' experience as a project engineer or contracts administrator working on commercial construction projects valued from $5-$10Million.
The ability to read and understand construction documents (e.g. specifications and drawings, schedules etc.).
Strong computer skills and experience using the Microsoft suite of programs (including Ms Project).
A certificate or tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or trade.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
A good sense of humour.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to engage and influence at all levels.
A valid driver's license.
Some travel, including overnight stays, will regularly be required as part of the role.
Previous experience on Defence projects will be highly regarded.
