Maintenance Fitter/Engineer Role
The maintenance fitter/engineer position undertakes routine preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, with equipment modification and fabrication when required.
* Perform regular upkeep on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
* Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and execute a safe return to production.
* Communicate operational and safety issues to the head engineer in a timely manner.
Key Skills:
* Engineering Certificate 3 (metal fabrication or machining preferred).
* Proficiency in manual arc, mig, and tig welding, as well as plasma and gas cutting techniques.
* Experience in setting up conveyor, chain, and sprocket bearings.
* Understanding of pneumatics systems.
