The Opportunity  As  a  Senior  Mechanical Engineer,  you  will have the opportunity to  lead  a wide variety of challenging projects.  This role is focused on  Defence, building and infrastructure  projects across  NSW, VIC,  SA and WA. You will work with our  bui ldings and infrastructure  team s  on a significant number of  buildings projects  to support  Commercial,  Defence  infrastructure, transport and water in frastructure .  This  role  will see you involved in  HVAC design and project leading.  Having experience in either of these areas will be  essential  in this role.  A s  a  Senior  Mechanical  Engineer,  you will  p lan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.  You will p erform  work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements,  non-con ventional HVAC design  and  complex  coordination requirements.  You will p rovide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.  Your skills and experience will be valued and have direct  impact on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.  As part of our team,  y ou will work with a diverse  group  of talented people who are committed to supporting our clients through long-term partnership arrangements; not to mention a key contributor to delivering projects.  Our team is also exploring new ways to integrate virtual reality and artificial intelligence on projects, offering you the opportunity to future proof and broaden your skills in the digital sphere.  Who are you?  As a  Senior  Mechanical  Engineer in  our  buildings  team, you will have experience in  detailed designs,  front end engineering design ( FEED ), consulting or complex engineering  projects from  the  defence, commercial, education, water, industrial, transport  or infrastructure sectors.  Y ou will work with OEMs on product  selection  and installation  but have the  ability to  customise  and innovate,  delivering unique solutions in challenging environments.  Exposure to  condition assessment s, data sheets, safety processes, national standards and regulation will also be vital.   You will have the following skills and experience:  Design experience with knowledge of  local  industry standards  and local codes.  Proven ability to work in  engineering teams and manage projects to scope, budget and program.  Advanced skills with Revit  and  CAMEL  are  preferred.  You are a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or have eligibility to apply for this accreditation.  Hold an accredited  Bachelor of  mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.  Australian Citizens will only be considered due to Defence project involvement.  Who we are ?  KBRâs Infrastructure Services Australia business works with customers across the nation to deliver projects that create a better, more sustainable and technology-enabled future for all Australians.
