Project Manager – Civil Construction
12-Month Contract | Mildura with Ongoing Opportunity
Northern Constructions Group (NCG) is a well-established and growing civil construction and earthmoving contractor delivering infrastructure projects across Northern Victoria and Southern NSW. While our head office is based in Echuca/Moama, we currently have a strong and growing pipeline of work in the Mildura region.
Due to this increase in workload, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager on a 12-month contract basis to support project delivery in the Mildura region, with the opportunity for ongoing work beyond the initial contract, subject to project requirements and mutual interest.

NCG is a regional civil contractor employing over 70 local staff and delivering infrastructure projects for government, water authorities and major industry clients. We focus on practical delivery, strong systems and long-term relationships.
Delivery in Mildura
NCG has an increasing presence in the Mildura and Sunraysia region, with current and upcoming works focused on:
* Water infrastructure and efficiency projects across the Victoria, NSW and South Australia border regions
* Irrigation and water modernisation works
* This role will also contribute to strengthening NCG's delivery capability and profile within the Mildura and broader Sunraysia area.
The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure projects, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients and internal management. While based in Mildura, the role is fully supported by NCG's head office in Echuca through established systems, leadership and corporate support functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee project planning, procurement, scheduling and delivery
* Coordinate subcontractor engagement and supplier management
* Manage budgets, variations and contract administration
* Liaise with asset owners, authorities, landholders and local stakeholders
* Ensure strong implementation of safety, environmental and quality assurance systems, including inspections, document control and compliance records
* Support site-based teams to achieve project outcomes
About You
* 10+ years' experience in project management within civil construction
* Experience delivering water infrastructure, earthworks or similar civil works in regulated environments
* Strong understanding of QA systems and project documentation requirements
* Commercial and contract awareness
* Confident communicator with experience working alongside asset owners, operators and regulators
* Engineering qualification preferred
* Current Driver's Licence
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project desirable); AutoCAD advantageous
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
Contract Details
* Initial 12-month contract
* Salary or contract rate to be discussed, based on experience
* Opportunity for ongoing work beyond the contract term, subject to workload
