Job Description
As Head of Human Resources and Training, you will lead the delivery of people and training strategies across the Adecco-DFR partnership. You will provide strategic advice to the Managing Director and leadership team, oversee HR operations, and ensure compliance with Defence and contractual requirements. You will drive workforce capability, manage a high-performing team, and ensure tailored training is developed and delivered for both Adecco and Defence personnel. Your work will directly influence organisational performance, culture, and strategic alignment across the DFR environment.
You will:
* Provide strategic HR and training advice to the Managing Director and Adecco-DFR leadership team on all people and culture matters
* Lead, coach and support HR and Training teams to drive engagement, productivity, and performance
* Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, accreditation, and capability development for all Adecco-DFR and Defence personnel
* Ensure the design and delivery of compliant, purpose-driven, and learner-focused training programs
* Manage mandatory training completion, induction programs, and bi-annual reporting to the Commonwealth
* Deliver workforce data reporting, including FTE tracking, demographics, and training outcomes (weekly, quarterly, and ad hoc)
* Maintain strong relationships with Defence, external stakeholders, and contractual partners to meet HR and Training objectives
* Lead the implementation and reporting of strategic initiatives including Indigenous, Veteran, and ADF Spouse employment strategies
* Support cross-incident management reporting and compliance with Defence Industry Security Plan requirements
* Provide insights and advice on people capability, culture, and employee management through data analysis and reporting across Adecco ANZ, APAC, and global teams
* Ensure effective delivery of HR strategies, policies, and people solutions that align with DFR's objectives and enhance the employee and candidate experience
* Oversee onshore management and data accuracy for all Adecco DFR employees
Candidate's Profile

Your background will demonstrate:
* 10 + years' experience in managing HR teams in large or complex organisations
* Proven track record in the delivery of training and HR services within a Corporate and/or
Public Sector environment
* Excellent knowledge of all major components of HR related functions, employee/labour relations, management of change, diversity, compensation, benefits, organisational development and corporate training
* Excellent leadership and emotional intelligence skills with demonstrated ability to engage others to understand and embrace organisational culture, directions, goals, and client service ethos
* Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with team members an internal and external stakeholders with a focus on collective success and a solutions mindset
* A collaborative approach to building professional relationships and working within a tea to contribute to the team vision
* Resilient and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
* Strong consulting, coaching and presentation skills
* High level written and verbal communication skills
* Effective decision making and problem-solving skills
* Education Bachelor's or masters in HRM or related field
