Job Description
The Head of Department plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Humanities department and teachers. This position is responsible for delivering curriculum within Humanities subjects across the college.
Core Responsibilities
* Provide effective leadership to the Humanities Department, ensuring seamless collaboration among team members.
* Plan, deliver, and assess teaching programs in line with Australian Professional Standards.
* Contribute to secondary leadership to support strategic priorities, fostering a culture of excellence.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualities:
* Align personal views and beliefs with the Christian ethos of the institution.
* Hold an Australian-qualified teaching certification with QLD Teacher's Registration or be able to obtain it.
* Have a primary teaching set comprising a combination of Humanities subjects.
* Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Passionately engage young minds through education.
