THE OPPORTUNITY This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the firm’s North Queensland offices. You will work in an office with 20 staff and benefit from various support from other offices. In this role you will mentor junior team members whilst reporting to the Tax and Business Services Partner, lead engagements, manage client portfolios and support the firm’s commitment to professional excellence. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for a range of clients. Oversee tax compliance processes, including BAS preparation and lodgement. Manage client relationships, providing tailored advice and solutions. Mentor and support junior accountants in developing their skills. Conduct financial analysis and reporting to assist clients in achieving their goals. Contribute to the firm's strategic initiatives and community involvement. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CA or CPA qualification. 4 years of experience in tax or business services within a CA or CPA firm. Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax compliance and accounting standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction. Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and Microsoft Office Suite.
