About This Job
Evans High School is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school serving the South Blacktown community since 1973. The school caters for over 840 students with 4% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, 70% Language Other Than English, and 28% EAL/D learners. The school offers a broad curriculum including academic subjects and vocational pathways, and delivers the HSC in a compressed model for Year 11 and 12 with three subjects each year. This has positively impacted HSC performance, including Band 5 and 6 achievement and ATAR levels.
Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach
* ITT - Industrial Technology Timber, Technology Mandatory and willing to teach Industrial Technology, Metal.
* Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of a faculty, contributing to developing, implementing and evaluating high-level teaching programs and resources that support student engagement and learning outcomes.
* Proven ability in classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills that build positive and productive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process during this opportunity.
Relocation Support Payment of 5,000 up to 8,000 available for eligible applicants.
Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of 20,000 (conditions apply). The Recruitment Bonus is paid pro rata for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus is 20,000, including any job share arrangements.
