Job Summary
The Simulator Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of our flight simulators. This position is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting the simulators to support the training of pilots and cabin crew.
* Perform routine maintenance on simulators and related systems to prevent malfunctions.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
* Conduct FAA ATG/QTG testing and visual alignments to verify simulator accuracy.
* Support engineering teams with design changes and software updates to enhance simulator capabilities.
* Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
* Maintain accurate records using a maintenance management system to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
* Provide high-quality customer service and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Assist with logistics, refurbishment, and hardware modifications to maintain simulator functionality.
* A 2-year technical degree or equivalent training is required.
* Minimum of 3 years direct simulator experience with at least 1 year relative simulator experience per assigned location.
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are essential.
* Proficiency with test equipment and simulator software tools is necessary.
* Experience with motion, visual, or aircraft systems is desirable.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office is beneficial.
* Fluency in English is mandatory.
