The opportunity
We're looking for a Business Development Executive or Manager to help drive continued growth of Design Show Australia - the Southern Hemisphere's largest trade exhibition for the world of interior architecture and design. It\'s the flagship annual event where the industry gathers to launch products, discover new brands, and get a first look at the trends and concepts shaping the spaces we love.
We're open to candidates at different stages of their sales career - the title and package will reflect your experience.
It's a role with real commercial weight - the kind that builds both your sales skills and your profile in a market that genuinely values expertise and relationships. What you'll be doing
You'll be selling exhibition stands and sponsorship packages to interior brands, helping them connect with architects, designers and buyers - prospecting and closing new business, re-engaging lapsed accounts, and building a healthy pipeline.
Relationship-building is central to the role, with new prospects, returning clients and industry stakeholders alike. Day-to-day you'll work in Salesforce, keeping accounts and activity up to date, and collaborate closely with the broader sales and marketing teams to hit shared goals.
There's interstate travel involved - client visits and industry events - and when the show goes live, you'll be onsite managing client relationships, securing renewals, and making sure exhibitors have a great experience.
Must haves:
* 2–5+ years of B2B sales experience (title and remuneration will reflect your level)
* A results-oriented mindset with the drive to own a pipeline and close deals
* Confidence, curiosity and the ability to persuade
* Enthusiasm for talking to people (not afraid to pick up the phone)
* Willingness to travel interstate occasionally
