Are you a passionate mental health professional ready to lead with impact? We're seeking a Senior Brief Intervention Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions tailored to individual mental health and psychosocial needs. Grounded in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, strength-based, and motivational interviewing frameworks, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while also contributing to clinical leadership and supervision. With a dedicated 0.75 FTE caseload, you'll have the space to support both clients and colleagues in a dynamic, supportive environment.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

· Deliver high-quality, evidence-based brief interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, IPT, SFT) tailored to complex mental health presentations.

· Conduct comprehensive assessments, risk evaluations, and group interventions for consumers with high-level psychosocial needs.

· Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support holistic care.

· Provide supervision to student placements and contribute to continuous clinical quality improvement aligned with Open Minds' Model of Practice.

· Maintain accurate clinical documentation, uphold confidentiality, and ensure compliance with governance, reporting, and risk management protocols.

About you:

· Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in health, counselling, behavioural sciences, or a related field, with postgraduate mental health qualifications and professional registration (AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, or ACA) highly regarded.

· Bring demonstrated experience delivering inclusive, evidence-based therapeutic interventions and risk management plans for individuals with complex mental health needs.

· Possess strong knowledge of the Australian mental health system, relevant legislation, and ethical frameworks, with well-established networks in local support services.

· Thrive in multidisciplinary environments, with excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Confidently provide supervision, contribute to group-based interventions, and support diverse and priority populations including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
