Be the Bright Spot in Someone's Day
Community Volunteer, HammondCare, Bidwill
About Us
Hammockare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people and other health and aged services.
Join Our Team
We are seeking a kind-hearted volunteer to spend time with a lovely lady who lives alone and could use a friendly face.
Her husband recently passed away, and with her family far away, she's feeling a bit lonely.
The Role
We're looking for someone to chat with, share a few laughs, maybe go out for a coffee now and then.
She enjoys watching TV, listening to music, and doing a bit of shopping.
Benefits
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself.
Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.
Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
About HammondCare

We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.
Funded by the Australian Government
Hammockare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer VisitorScheme established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
