Maintenance Superintendent with HME Mobile Plant experience to deliver key outcomes for our client's coal mining project in Central Queensland.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be employed on a permanent basis working a 5/5 roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate strong safety leadership and foster a culture of high safety engagement across the site
* Optimize resource allocation (people, equipment, and materials) to efficiently meet maintenance work targets and schedules, ensuring maximum productivity and minimal downtime
* Set clear performance expectations for Maintenance personnel, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to drive accountability and continuous improvement
* Proactively track maintenance performance through supervisors and leading hands, swiftly addressing operational challenges and ensuring timely communication of critical issues
* Continuously analyse plant performance (availability, breakdowns, and backlog), identifying trends and implementing proactive solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency
* Foster cross-functional collaboration with other Superintendents to align maintenance strategies with production goals, ensuring seamless plant operations and optimal output
Key Capability Requirements
* Trade qualification, complemented by further tertiary studies and extensive experience in managing mobile mining equipment maintenance
* Technical Knowledge, a strong understanding of heavy mining surface mobile plant
* Proven safety leadership, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and leading by example
* Strong people management skills, with a track record of effectively developing, mentoring, and leading teams
* Excellent organizational, communication, and planning abilities, ensuring efficient coordination of maintenance operations
