About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll work closely with production, suppliers and internal teams to keep materials flowing and builds on track.

Your contribution will be visible and valued, with genuine opportunities to develop your skills and grow your career. This role suits someone who enjoys solving problems, taking initiative and being part of a team that gets things done.

Key Responsibilities

* Raise and manage purchase orders to support production requirements
* Liaise with suppliers on pricing, delivery timelines and order status
* Expedite orders to ensure materials arrive on time
* Work closely with production and warehouse teams to maintain material availability
* Resolve supply and delivery issues as they arise
* Coordinate inbound shipments with freight forwarders and logistics partners
* Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP/MRP system
* Contribute to continuous improvement within purchasing and supply chain processes

What Will Make You Stand Out

We're ideally looking for a combination of the below - but you don't need all of them:

* Curiosity and willingness to learn (we can train the right person)
* Technical understanding of parts, components or drawings
* Experience in purchasing or supply chain

Experience That Will Help You Succeed

* Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain
* Exposure to manufacturing (marine, automotive or similar)
* Experience working with suppliers and managing lead times
* Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
* Experience coordinating freight or working with logistics partners
* Intermediate Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems (Infor Visual highly regarded)
* Experience in a technical parts environment or ability to understand components and assemblies
