The Company Paraway Pastoral currently operates 27 agricultural enterprises across a number of diversified climatic zones and a range of country types. Collectively the properties have the capacity to carry over 220,000 cattle and 250,000 sheep across its portfolio, as well as a mixture of dryland and irrigated cropping. Paraway’s primary goal is to be a consistent, reliable supplier of quality produce, while operating sustainable businesses that target long-term returns while effectively managing short-term risks. The Position As an experienced Business Analyst you will partner and work closely with the General Manager Operations and Station Managers across the Southern Region, analysing multiple and substantial farming aggregations. You will provide key insights and expert analysis on performance ultimately supporting management make informative and accurate decisions and supporting strategic objectives. This role is vital to the region and a genuine link between the business performance and station teams, extracting production context for financial analysis and reporting. The Business Analyst is ideally based at the corporate office in Orange (though flexible arrangements are available) and operates within a team-oriented, proactive environment where staff collaborate closely and communicate regularly to achieve outcomes. This approach will include the following (but not limited to): Building and working on complex financial modelling and performance analysis on station metrics, including corporate monthly reporting and modelling Involvement in strategic input to station direction and forecasting, making management aware of performance potential performance issues Financial and operational reporting which includes budgeting, cashflow, CAPEX analysis, and consolidation of KPI’s and help build tools to improve efficiency The Person We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following experience, skills, and key attributes: Demonstrated success in a similar role, with at least 3-5 years’ experience, with exposure and understanding of farming production systems, operations and practices Relevant agribusiness, finance, commerce, accounting, or similar qualifications Foundational data analysis skills in an agricultural environment, and a proven knowledge of Excel at an advanced level and PowerBI Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team High levels of professionalism and integrity with an enthusiastic can-do personality and a strong team focus Strong organisational skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines but also be flexible to pivot to business needs Well-developed communication, interpersonal and liaison skills able to relate to and communicate with Station Managers and other functions of the business A current driver’s license is required as travel will be required This is an outstanding opportunity to join this highly respected corporate agribusiness that prides itself on maintaining their values and positive culture.
