THE ROLE
This is a high-impact commercial role supporting the delivery of major development projects. As the Commercial Manager, you'll lead the contractual and commercial management of D&C projects, working closely with Senior Leadership, Development and Legal teams, as well as Tier 1 contractors and delivery partners.
You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered under strong contractual frameworks while protecting commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to) include:
* Lead contract strategy, procurement and negotiation of major D&C contracts
* Provide commercial oversight across projects, including cost, risk and claims
* Review and negotiate variations, payment claims and contractor submissions
* Drive strong contract administration and governance across the lifecycle
* Identify and manage contractual risks, supporting dispute resolution where required
* Partner with Development, Legal and external contractors to deliver outcomes
* Contribute to improving contract frameworks and commercial processes
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* 10+ years' experience in commercial, contracts or QS roles
* Strong experience across D&C contracts on large-scale developments
* Background in property development, construction or Tier 1 contracting
* Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex construction contracts
* Strong commercial acumen with a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach
* Excellent stakeholder management across internal and external teams
* Relevant degree in Construction, Engineering, QS, Law or similar
