Job Description:
* Provide strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer in directing UGL's internal and external legal advice to safeguard company interests.
* Identify, manage, and report on risk and opportunities across the Commercial & Risk Management (CRM) network.
* Negotiate, draft, and settle operational and downstream subcontracts for complex engineering and infrastructure projects.
* Attend and drive discussions on tender execution, contract management, and dispute resolution between customers and suppliers.
* Review terms and conditions of contracts that are not part of standard templates.
* Report on legal risks associated with tenders as required by the CEO.
* Provide commercial training to operational staff as needed.
* Prepare upstream and downstream draft legal and commercial correspondence.
* Manage external legal services to ensure value for money and targeted advice.
* Ensure compliance with CRM Operations and Maintenance Deed requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of contractual agreements.
* Establish effective project reporting systems, including budget, earned value, and forecast cost-to-complete.
