You will step into a senior role with genuine responsibility while continuing to refine your expertise across obstetrics and gynaecology.
Why?
Tasmania offers the best of both worlds: clinical excellence in a close-knit medical community, and a lifestyle that is increasingly hard to find in larger cities.
You'll enjoy:

* Excellent public and private schooling options
* A vibrant arts and food scene with year-round festivals
* Easy access to beaches, alpine regions, hiking, cycling, sailing and skiing

It's entirely possible to finish your clinic and be on a mountain trail within 20 minutes. Work-life balance here isn't aspirational. It's real.
What you'll gain
* Tertiary-level exposure to antenatal and intrapartum care
* Labour ward leadership and complex case management
* Ultrasound experience
* Consolidation of surgical skills, including laparoscopic surgery
* Supervision and mentorship of Registrars and Resident Medical Officers
* 10 hours of protected training time per fortnight
This role provides a strong platform for transition into specialist practice.

You will:
* Provide high-level clinical care across obstetrics and gynaecology
* Support and supervise junior medical staff
* Participate in teaching and training activities
* Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
