PowerTek Australia Pty Ltd is a small group of specialist electrical personnel servicing the electrical requirements of the Mining industry, Production Industry, Commercial and Heavy Industry across Tasmania, Australia and overseas.
Works include switchboard design and manufacture, turnkey projects, engineering support, substation manufacture, High voltage switchboard design construction, installation, and termination.
We are currently seeking skilled individuals for the following position(s) to join our team for future projects:
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (Devonport Factory based)
The individual(s) sought will be a highly motivated reliable self-starter with the ability to work un-supervised in a workshop or on-site environment with a high regard to quality, an eye for detail, quality and safety.
The position(s) will be involved in all facets of switchboard manufacturing, including Motor Control, PLC control wiring, commercial switchboards, mining equipment manufacturing, substation manufacturing, HV switchboard construction and termination in a factory environment with occasional field site installation and testing.
Desirable and Essential qualifications
TECHNICIAN
Current Tasmanian Electrical Technicians License (essential)
Current Australian Driving License (essential)
Control wiring comprehension, fault finding and problem solving skills.
Mechanical aptitude
Switchboard industry experience
HV termination experience (training provided)
1000V experience and familiarity (training provided)
$77k-120k p/a earning capacity
Remuneration package is negotiable on level of experience and qualifications.
