About the role
The Financial Planning & Reporting Support team is looking for a customer-focused and proactive Analyst Support Officer to provide specialist support to schools across NSW.
In this role, you will work directly with school stakeholders, providing timely advice and guidance on budget planning and reporting processes and tools. You will help schools build capability, resolve financial and system-related queries, and ensure they have the support needed to make informed financial decisions.
Working in a collaborative team environment, you will liaise with a range of Finance and Shared Services teams to identify support needs, resolve issues, contribute to system improvements and help deliver high-quality services to our school communities.
About you

* Experience providing customer, financial or business support services in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently to a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
* A collaborative approach and commitment to building positive working relationships.
* Confidence using business systems and technology, with a willingness to learn new tools and processes.
Key knowledge and experience
* Demonstrated experience in delivering financial support services, in particular the resolution of technical queries and issues
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
* Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or a relevant discipline, or demonstrated successful experience in stakeholder/customer engagement in a Shared Services/Contact Centre environment
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
