Exeter General Store is a bustling destination & neighbourhood cafe in the beautiful village of Exeter in the Southern Highlands. We are passionate about serving consistently delicious coffee and meals, paired with true hospitality from our team.

Baristas
We have positions for both experienced and new baristas across our 7-day operation. As a barista, you will focus on making high quality coffees using Single O coffee. When not making coffee, you'll work with other team members to serve customers at the POS and tables. Specialty barista experience will be well regarded but is not essential. Higher rates available for an experienced barista with demonstrated skills.
There is also the opportunity to become a cafe supervisor once your experience and skills are ready and it is something you are interested in pursuing. For some experienced candidates you may be ready now.
Comprehensive structured training will be provided, with ongoing coaching from skilled baristas and hospitality operators. You will also be trained and work in our Licensed Post Office, which operates as part of the store and the one team. May suit either a recent school leaver looking to make a start or an experienced barista looking to make their next move in hospitality. Either way we will provide you with plenty of training and opportunities to grow. As a hospitality role, weekend availability is needed but there is flexibility on hours and days. Typical shift hours are 7am - 3.30pm. No nights.
We are able to accommodate part-time or full-time with flexibility in hours per week depending on your needs. Rosters are consistent and published well in-advance. As a permanent role, you will have paid annual leave (with additional leave loading), paid personal leave and guaranteed hours. Casual can be discussed if part-time or full-time is not suitable for you.
