Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Intensive Care Nurse to join our organization on a permanent full-time basis.
The successful candidate will work across a 12-bed unit providing a mix of Intensive Care, High Dependency, and Cardiac Care services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-standard nursing care and develop effective patient care plans.
* Provide safe, holistic, and customer-focused patient care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of nursing interventions.
* Implement medical treatment orders, consulting with doctors if necessary, and assess patient needs for health education.
* Ensure nursing care is practiced according to professional and organizational clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
* Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively, managing workload and maintaining open communication with patients, carers, and the interdisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will possess registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing.
A thorough understanding of Australian College of Intensive Care Nurses (ACCCN) Standards of Practice for Specialist Critical Care Nurses and excellent knowledge and skills relevant to the Intensive Care environment are essential.
